Adapted from 375 Meatless Recipes
1 cup oatmeal, dry
1 cup ground nuts (I used pecans)
¼ cup milk (I used soy)
1 medium minced onion
1 tsp salt
½ tsp sage
1 Tbsp soy sauce
Beat eggs and combine all other ingredients with them. Form small patties (I use an ice cream scoop) and fry on both sides until brown. Cover with your favorite gravy, or no gravy, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Gravy can be added at the table if the patties weren’t cooked in gravy.
I bake them plain, without gravy, and eat them plain. If baked plain, they can also be used as a burger, or patty in a sandwich.
